It always amazes me how resilient Long Islanders are…..we had a wonderful celebration Sunday afternoon dedicating St. Andrews Anglican church- newly restored and renovated! It could not have happened without the continued hard work, time, money and dedication of so many here!
Thankfully I have pictures from 2005, walking thru it with friends visiting before the roof was destroyed in many different hurricanes and became totally unusable!

new vestibule

new gated entrance

the new lectern

2013 the new entrance

back then the roof was still intact

the old baptistry was amazing…..

the old lectern

the inside of the sanctuary was filled with historical meaning….

the quaint shutter doors…..my mother in law was living here with us then!

the church was so full we had to sit outside under a tent!

I sat outside, looking up to a beautiful sky, singing praises to my God….how blessed I am!!!!!
